The yearly fundraiser will be held at Anfield Stadium next month

Football personalities are set to join LFC Foundation’s Kip on the Kop. The charity overnight initiative organised by the LFC Foundation at Anfield Stadium is entering its fourth edition, scheduled for Saturday, September 26. Attendees will spend the evening on the famous Kop terrace to collect vital money for those experiencing homelessness.
Sammy Lee, Natasha Dowie and Becky Easton are among the footballers taking part this year, alongside supporter and comedian John Bishop and LFC Foundation Community Ambassador Chris Kirkland.
Liverpool FC icon Sammy Lee, who also participated in last year’s gathering, made almost 300 appearances for the club during the 1970s and 80s, securing five league championships, four League Cups and two European Cups.
Natasha Dowie, who holds the record for most goals for LFC Women and serves as a club ambassador, had two stints with the Reds and was part of the team that claimed consecutive Women’s Super League crowns in 2013 and 2014.
Former LFC Women defender Becky Easton has also signed up, having represented the club twice and being part of both championship-winning sides.
Funds collected will support two existing community schemes; LFC Foundation’s Pathway to Works, which offers sport-focused training sessions and guidance for young people who have been homeless, and the support and welfare activities of Liverpool Homeless FC (LHFC.)
LHFC employs football to reach individuals dealing with homelessness, sleeping rough, temporary housing, social isolation, recovery from addiction and various other forms of social exclusion. Almost 4,000 people are involved with LHFC, with assistance from the LFC Foundation.
Kip on the Kop 2025 attracted over 400 fans who slept on the Kop, collecting a remarkable £119,575.
Although a single night at Anfield cannot truly mirror the experience of homelessness, the initiative seeks to highlight the difficulties encountered by those without a safe and stable place to live.
Supporters can currently receive 25% off their registration fee using the code TAKE25LFC. Those taking part are asked to collect at least £250 in contributions. Participants must be aged 16 or older, with anyone under 18 requiring a responsible adult to accompany them.
