Liverpool have finalised their 25-man Premier League roster for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign, with several notable omissions from the submitted list.
Despite being excluded from the official registration, the club retains the ability to utilise those players throughout the current season.
The Anfield outfit experienced a net departure of personnel during the recent transfer window, with departures outweighing arrivals.
This situation reportedly simplified the selection process for the coaching staff when compiling the official documentation.
The completed registration was officially filed with the Premier League on Thursday and cannot be modified until the winter transfer period commences in January.
At that stage, the club will be permitted to register additional players should the need arise.
Three individuals find themselves outside the registered group: Rio Ngumoha, Jeremy Jacquet, and Giovanni Leoni.
Each remains fully available for selection by the manager regardless of their omission from the formal list.
Premier League rules exempt individuals who have not yet reached their 21st birthday from counting toward the 25-man ceiling, provided they were born on or after January 1, 2005.
Of the trio, Jacquet holds the earliest birthdate at July 13, 2005, and therefore satisfies this criterion.
Both Ngumoha and Leoni are still teenagers and consequently fall outside the scope of the registration restrictions.
Registration regulations restrict clubs to a maximum of 17 players lacking homegrown status within their 25-man group.
The remaining positions must be allocated to those meeting homegrown requirements.
Such status is granted to players who spent at least three full seasons or 36 months registered with clubs in England or Wales before their 21st birthday.
The classification also extends to individuals who celebrate their 21st birthday while a season is in progress.
Jacquet and Ngumoha have already represented the club during competitive fixtures this term.
Leoni continues his recovery from an injury that also sidelines Joe Gomez and Federico Chiesa.
